Patients with breast cancer are at increased risk for uterine, ovary and colon cancer. All breast cancer patients should have a yearly gynecologic exam with a pap smear. Colonoscopy is also recommended to evaluate for asymptomatic colon polyps and cancer. All cancer patients should also discuss with their physician the role and benefits of consultation with a geneticist to evaluate for cancer risk and follow-up of the patient’s family
